Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken (breast/thigh), cut into 1-inch pieces
    Optional Marinade: 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp each red chilli powder, black pepper, salt; ¼ tsp turmeric; 1 tbsp lemon juice
Coating:
  • 2 cups raw makhana (fox nuts) 
  • ½ tsp ghee or oil (optional, for flavor and better seasoning adherence) 
  • ¼ tsp salt (or to taste) 
  • Optional Seasoning Ideas (choose one or create your own!): 
    Classic Salted: Just salt. 
    Chaat Masala: ¼ tsp chaat masala for a tangy kick. 
    Peri Peri: ½ tsp peri peri seasoning. 
    Garlic & Herb: ¼ tsp garlic powder + ¼ tsp mixed herbs. 
    Sweet Makhana: 1 tsp jaggery powder or powdered sugar + a pinch of cardamom. 

Method

STEP 01

Prep & Season

Toss raw makhana with a little ghee/oil (optional) and your favorite seasoning like salt or chaat masala.

STEP 02
